Awesome work. I'm actually working on some Firefox wallpapers with a drop down type graphic like yours.

Amazing wallpaper, I also saw the grey scale revision of this. I would like to help you with wallpaper resolution selection however. Essentially you will only need two resolutions to cover the majority of monitors. The following should be used instead of your seven, as they are more efficient.

2560 x 1600 - This is basically the superior resolution, as it is the same ratio (16:10) as the WUXGA (1920 x 1200) common computer monitor resolution. The 1600p resolution allows the user to take full advantage of any computer monitor with the 16:10 ratio.

1560 x 1440 - Similar to the former, though this resolution is specific to the 16:9 ratio which is shared on the HDTV (1920 x 1080, or 1080p) resolution. This ratio allows the content to be displayed on any 'new age' monitor, basically display OEMs (Like Samsung, for one) have figured out that people like the phrase HD which is 1080p (Full HD as displayed on high-end HDTVs), so these OEMs have cut back on the resolution to save money and to be able to market them as "HD", even though this resolution is inferior in comparison to 16:10 on computer displays, though perfect for TVs.

These two resolutions will cover all widescreen standard displays at the optimum pixel density regardless of the actual display resolution. I have personally run a series of test on the differences between the 2560 x 1600 resolution versus the 1920 x 1200 on a display which has a native resolution of only 1920 x 1200. The higher resolution image (1600p) proved to be both superior and preemptive in the sense that it not only displayed the EXACT same resolution, but if I were to replace that monitor with one that can process a higher native resolution I would already be safe with the higher resolution. Essentially I just wouldn't have to swap out or scale my low resolution wallpaper to fit my high-res display.

On another note, cutting down on the number of resolution options (From 7 to 2) will decrease the file size of your .zip file significantly, as photo files are generally large in byte size. Not only will it cut down on the upload speed on your end to dA, but it would also cut down on the download speed for your audience, as well as a more compact file size when the images are stored locally, offering more space for other content. Either way you shoot it, these two large resolutions are superior to your seven smaller resolutions.

As for me, I'll be using this wallpaper specifically on my new MacBook Pro, it demonstrates a wonderful pride for Apple, as well as a creativity centered toward the naming of the Air, which I assume is fairly obvious. So, :+fav:.

Thank you for the comment and for trying to help! :)

As for the 2 resolutions you have mention, they don't support my monitor resolution 1920x1080 and the most popular resolution of all: 1024x768!!!

I have done a 9 years research for the most popular resolutions, I wish I could find a way to cut down the number of resolutions I am uploading, without loosing the support of the 7 most popular resolutions.

Thank you any way for the very interesting post! :)

There are many sources online that reports the most common wallpaper sizes, but the numbers are all similar. They get the info from their visitors browser info.

Here's one.

Right, but seriously, stick with the two I recommended, they'll provide the most efficiency in the least amount of space, and they'll cover all the bases / work for everybody.
